250 g Chicken, cut into cubes
2 Tbsp. / 50 g Pepperwicks Satay Paste
Salt, to taste
2 Tbsp. Oil
5 Wooden Skewers, soaked in water
For garnish:
- Coriander Leaves; chopped for garnish
- Peanuts, crushed for garnish
- Marinate the chicken with Pepperwicks Satay Paste, 1 Tbsp. oil and salt to taste. Set aside in the fridge for 45-60 minutes.
- Once marinated, skewer the chicken onto the wooden skewers (3 pcs on each skewer)
- In a pan, add 1 Tbsp. oil and cook off the chicken on a medium flame. Once 90% cooked, cook the chicken on a high flame to get char marks.
- Plate the skewers onto the serving platter, garnish with peanuts and coriander and serve along with Peanut Sauce
- You can make this using paneer as well. Ensure you dry the paneer on a kitchen towel to absorb all the excess moisture. This will help maintain the shape of the paneer while skewering it.
- Do not add salt to the marination in case you are using paneer.
- If time is a constraint, you can skewer the marinated chicken immediately and cook it off. But, of course, a good marination ensures more flavour.
